Overview

This older lady had just moved into the property and wanted to make the bathroom more accessible by replacing the bath with a walk in shower.

Initially she wanted to put a small shower tray in with one glass panel leaving it open and also wanted to move the basin to allow a mirror to be placed above.

We advised that leaving the shower area open could cause problems with the amount of water escaping, suggesting that a wetroom with vinyl floor would work really well in this space.

Using a level access shower tray eliminates the trip hazard caused by using a regular shower tray and installing a wetroom screen provides a modern look.

We used a wall hung basin which gives the feeling of space and the wetroom screen, which can be folded in completely, allows the whole of the floor space to be utilised.

Along with the raised height toilet; the safety flooring provides a more comfortable and accessible experience when using the bathroom. This wetroom is now safe, practical and stylish!
