Overview

This elderly gentleman who lives alone, had been hospitalised due to falling down the stairs.

We were contacted by a family member who we had previously installed a bathroom for, to help renovate the property and make it safer for his return.

As well as converting the bathroom into a wetroom we also coordinated the installation of a new boiler and central heating system, electrical work including adding more lighting & sockets, fully cleaned and decorated throughout.

We removed the old bathroom and created a vinyl floor wetroom which is safe and practical yet modern and stylish.

The vanity unit and mirrored cabinet provide some storage, the shower curtain which can be tied back allows lots of floor space and no restrictions, the shower seat can be folded up so it’s out of the way when not in use and by altering the position of the toilet it doesn’t encroach on the shower area.

We set the shower a little lower for seated showering and installed some chrome grab rails for added support when moving around the wetroom.

This gentleman and his family can be confident that he can continue to live alone safely and maintain his independence.

See before, during and after photos showing the complete process.
