Overview

This couple with young children recently moved into their new home which they’re fully renovating, starting with the bathroom.

With steps leading into the bathroom and its unusual shape, the area felt quite awkward, disjointed and the large space wasn’t being used to its full potential.

We looked at how we could rearrange the layout and suggested raising the floor to bring the room level with the hallway and therefore losing the steps, plus hanging the door from the opposite side to open up the view of the bathroom when entering.

We removed the shower bath and replaced with a full width luxury walk in shower with feature wall, recessed alcove, ceiling mounted rainfall shower head and frameless screen.

We installed a large bath and built a frame around it so that it could be tiled in and plinth lights added to the bath panel.

Bringing these two areas together are the anthracite combination basin & w/c units with illuminated mirror.

To add to the high end finish we boarded and skimmed the ceiling, added new bathroom safe (IP65 rated) spotlights, installed a new extractor fan and upgraded the old radiator to a modern anthracite heated towel rail.

This gorgeous family bathroom has had the ‘Ultimate’ makeover and is now the perfect place to relax and unwind!
